Akwa:ji:ya’

The second book in our series of Cayuga language books, Akwa:ji:wa’, is a book that can be enjoyed by children, parents and teachers who are looking to promote language use in the school or classroom.

The story is written entirely in the Cayuga language, using beginner vocabulary and colourful imagery to introduce family words and a new verb root “nǫhkwa”: which means “to love or care for”.

This book also contains an introductory grammar lesson for educators and parents, as well as a list of new vocabulary!
